Duties and Responsibilities
Create and Maintain Process Designer Databases, to plant specific processes / specifications.
Knowledgeable of GM Product Structures, MDM (Math Data Models), MPM (Master Process Models).
Works Directly with Designers and Simulators to provide Product, Weld and Datum Information as needed
Understanding of Written STD (Standard Time Data) and/or Man And Machine documents
Communicate any and all potential document, process, simulation, design errors, based on given current process data.
Basic BIW (Body In White) Assembly Knowledge and understanding.
Basic Assembly Line Layout and System flow knowledge
Create and maintain documents and tracking list of documents to communicate.
Senior Process Engineer Duties and Responsibilities (In addition to the Above)
Develop manufacturing methods, labor utilization standards, and cost analysis systems to promote efficient staff and facility utilization.
Draft and design layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to illustrate maximum efficiency, using drafting tools and computer.
Plan and establish sequence of operations to fabricate and assemble parts or products and to promote efficient utilization.
Review production schedules, engineering specifications, orders, and related information to obtain knowledge of manufacturing methods, procedures, and activities.
Study operations sequence, material flow, functional statements, organization charts, and project information to determine worker functions and responsibilities.
Coordinate quality control objectives and activities to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, and minimize cost.
Recommend methods for improving utilization of personnel, material, and utilities.
Estimate production cost and effect of product design changes for management review, action, and control.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
