Currently, Meijer is looking for a Service Area Team Leader. The individual selected for this position will be responsible for providing the customer with a fast and friendly quality shopping experience by training, mentoring and coaching Customer Service Department team members. The individual will also deliver remarkable customer service by achieving Brand Promises; i.e. "Provide an easy shopping experience for our customers." The Service Area Team Leader will also be an expert in customer service as well as maintaining a positive working relationship with customers, team members and leadership. The individual selected for this position must possess excellent leadership, mentoring and communication skills.
Key responsibilities include:
Practicing Meijer philosophies and core expectations: Customer Focus, Urgency, Teamwork, Trust & Respect, Accountability and Culture of Thrift
Assisting Customer Service team members with operational functions and tasks
Maintaining a courteous and friendly attitude towards customers and team members
Mentoring and coaching all Customer Service team members
Providing succession planning for the Customer Service Department
Administering discipline and preparing "see-me list"
Achieving cashier performance standards
Resolving customer complaints in a prudent and expedient manner
Ensuring training curriculum is completed for all Service Coordinators, Cashiers and Courtesy Team
Providing qualified trainers to ensure quality training occurs in the Customer Service Department
Maintaining the cleanliness of the front end area
Working collaboratively with Financial Team Leader to resolve cash control & scheduling concerns
Spending 90% of shift time on sales floor :
o Behind the lanes helping customers with order, bags and self checkout lanes
o Coaching and mentoring the Customer Service team members
There is a 48 hours (exempt) pay base for this position
Other daily tasks as required
Successful completion of all required Customer Service department training curriculums
Possesses excellent organizational, coaching and communication skills
Basic computer skills (e.g. Word, Excel, etc.) and Meijer computer program applications (e.g. MYINFO, PeopleSoft, My Team)
Ability to operate the cash register system and all financial services equipment
This position may require lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, squatting, stooping, kneeling and/or climbing

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
