employees.
We are looking for a Construction Engineering Project Manager with a minimum of 5 years of experience in MDOT/LAP Construction Project Management and municipal Construction Improvement Projects including Road Programs.
Other discipline experience such as, but not limited to, water main, sanitary sewer, road, pathways and storm water system experience a plus.
Extensive knowledge of established construction practices, procedures and techniques as well as applicable local, State and Federal delivery is also required.
Must be able to read and interpret documents, such as work orders, safety rules, procedure manuals, and construction drawings/plans.
Strong analytical and innovative problem solving skills desired.
Computer skills required include:
internet, e-mail, MS Excel, and MS Word.

TYPICAL DUTIES Important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
Day-to-day interfacing with project team members, clients, contractors and others regarding project related items Lead and mentor staff Answer technical project questions and issues presented by staff Monitor budgets and progress with a strong focus on profitability Communicate project details with staff Attend and/or conduct client and project meetings Maintain and obtain MDOT work by developing scope of work, estimated fees for new projects, and write proposals for new work Win new clients through technical expertise and a strong business development approach; assist with proposals and marketing Ability to promote and cultivate client relationships is a plus SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE Preferred but not required, a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, a current PE license, and more than 5 years of related experience Project experience with agencies such as MDOT and municipal agencies.
